Thanks for your encouragement. I'm sooooo excited to post the next couple of shows. I'm going to be playing new music that I'm really excited about - that recently gave me the chills and brought tears to my eyes. I have compiled a list of new bands that I really want to support - not because they are friends, because they are not - but because they are really amazing. Tune in and PLEASE - pass the word on.
the bookends of this show could not have been received more differently by me.
The Dr. Dog song blew me away. really interesting stuff.
but the Gram Parsons one had no impact on me at all. it sounds like what that 5th Velvet Underground album PROBABLY sounds like (i am afraid to listen) - i.e. really bad Doug Yule stuff. just my opinion. i still love the selections. always interesting, mr. hughes.
